Often one or more members will showcase a deeper exploration of their interests in a series collection, and very often, Visiting Artists bring different skills and techniques with their body of work on display temporarily.

April Focus Room Exhibition
THE GALLERY-2026 ART PRIZE
“The Gallery Mount Macedon is holding its 5th Annual Art Prize competition. Following the success of last year’s open competition, artists were not restricted by theme and have responded with a range of portraits, landscapes and mixed media. This year’s entries were judged by two well known and respected artists. The competition has again been generously sponsored by The Community Bank, Gisborne and District, with a first prize of $1000. There is also a $500 Highly Commended prize and, of course, the People’s Choice prize of $250 nominated by visitors to The Gallery during the exhibition and announced on Sunday May 3. The 2026 Art Prize has again attracted talented artists. The official opening is on Saturday 11 April at 2pm when the prize winners will be announced. This event was opened to local artists, so join us for the celebration. The exhibition runs from April 7 to May 3.
