In his early teens, Eric discovered an interest in drawing which paused as other young man interests took over.
Apart from the occasional dabble in drawing and painting over the years, Eric’s reconnection with the ability to express an appreciation for Australian landscapes wasn’t realized until retirement in 2017.
A self-taught painter, Eric initially began painting with watercolours on paper and then canvas. Whilst enjoying watercolour, he found his preferred medium was using oils on canvas.
Eric enjoys painting natural landscapes and the occasional seascape, (most paintings are from photographs taken during numerous trips around Australia) and also likes to paint pet portraits, capturing the personality of each character.
