Born in Sussex England in 1944, I served an apprenticeship as a joiner and cabinet maker. I emigrated to Australia in 1965.
After working as a carpenter and later running a building business fir a number of years I retired in 2009, taking up wood turning. I mainly use local native timbers from dead or fallen trees.
Seeing the colour and grain emerge whilst turning is most satisfying.
A passion for wood and a desire for perfection are two of the forces that drive me.
