Candice Boyd: Watercolour (Abstract)

Candice is a contemporary artist, psychologist, and cultural geographer interested in the expressive power of art. They work across multiple media – photography, film and video, painting, and sonic improvisation – currently experimenting with abstract watercolour. They are also a keen gardener and enjoy using their home garden as a photographic subject.

Candice is also an honorary principal fellow in the School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at The University of Melbourne where they supervise artists completing PhDs in cultural geography and conduct research on arts-based knowledge translation and climate-related mental health. They have been involved in many community-based arts projects over the years and have a long-standing commitment to the welfare and growth of regional areas.
