The Gallery Mount Macedon Art Prize 2026
The Gallery Mount Macedon Art Prize and Exhibition is hosted by The Gallery Mount Macedon and sponsored by The Bendigo Bank, Gisborne and District
The invitation is open to all Macedon Ranges and Sunbury residents to present an artwork, of any subject, in any 2D medium, such as watercolour, acrylic, oil, pencil, pastel, charcoal, photography, printmaking, collage and tapestry. Work must be 2D, with a maximum size of 45cm x 65cm, landscape or portrait orientation, including frame and mount. Please note conditions for framing are d-rings and a hanging wire
The number of entries to be displayed is capped at 35, so we advise you to enter as soon as you can once entries open
The exhibition will run from Tuesday 7 April – Sunday 3 May 2026 at The Gallery Mount Macedon
Prizes: sponsored by The Bendigo Bank, Gisborne and District (to be judged by independent judges).
First prize for the most outstanding work in any medium: $1000
Highly commended: $500
People’s choice award: $250

Submission of work
Deliver work to The Gallery between Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March, in time for judging. Please deliver your artwork during Gallery opening hours (Fri-Tues, 10 am – 4 pm)
Hanging: Monday 6 April
Official opening and exhibition prizes announced: Saturday 11 April at 2pm People’s Choice Award announced: Sunday 3 May at 2pm
Collection of sold and unsold works: Sunday 3 May, 3-5pm or at other times up to 10 May as arranged via email

Terms and conditions
- Due to space restrictions, we can only accept one entry per artist
- Maximum size: 45cmx 65cm, portrait or landscape orientation
- Work to be suitably framed, with d-rings and hanging wire. Unframed canvases are acceptable. Place a label on the back with title, artist’s name, address, and price. All work must be for sale
- A 30% commission is payable to The Gallery if work is sold at the exhibition
- All works must be original and owned by the artist. Works should have been completed in 2025 or 2026. All works must be for sale via The Gallery
- Entry fee: $25, nonrefundable. Payable by credit/ debit card following acceptance email from The Gallery
- Judges’ decision is final and not subject to review or appeal
- Entrants agree to allow their work to be shown in the media
- The Gallery Mount Macedon will take all reasonable care with artwork, but will not be responsible for loss, theft or damage to artwork or frame while in our possession
- Work that has not been collected by the due date (10 May) will be donated to charity
